ABB is to provide innovative permanent magnet (PM) shaft generators for 12 of Newcastlemax bulkers ordered by Himalaya Shipping. The Bermuda-based shipowner will take delivery of the series of 210,000 dwt ships from New Times Shipbuilding in Jiangsu, China, starting from 2023.
