Tanker emits no GHGs during port operations

The Port of Gothenburg welcomed Tern Island on Thursday, a tanker that emits no greenhouse gases or carbon particulates during port operations where compatible shore power connections are available.

Tern Island represents an evolution in chemical tanker design, combining a battery system, and cold ironing with a hybrid bow thruster.
