MPA: contaminated bunker loaded in UAE

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has released an update into its investigation into contaminated HSFO which commenced on 14 March 2022, saying that it originated from the Port of Khor Fakkan in the UAE.

Veritas Petroleum Services noted that the contaminated fuel led to fuel system failures, blackouts or engine problems in around half of the vessels affected.
