NYK develops CBM method for engine bearings

NYK and MTI have received approval from ClassNK for a new condition-based maintenance method for monitoring the bearings on the engine of the NYK-owned coal carrier Noshiro Maru.

ClassNK has certified a new condition based maintenance (CBM) method for main bearings, which uses lubricant oil outlet temperature sensor data.
