New Showcase For Spanish Ocean Research

Spanish capability for oceanographic research is set to be enhanced by an 85m newbuild laid down this month at Vigo. Ordered from Astilleros Armon to the account of the Instituto Espanol de Oceanografia (IEO), the Odon de Buen will become the country’s largest and most advanced research ship on scheduled handover in 2024.
