DSME installs new hi-Mn LNG tank on container ship

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has installed a high manganese steel LNG fuel tank on a dual fuel-propelled container ship for the first time.

DSME and POSCO believe that the use of high-manganese steel for a rectangular LNG fuel tank offers price, strength and assembly advantages over traditional materials.
