Bi-lobe LCO2 carrier tank design granted AiP by DNV

A 70,000 cbm liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) containment tank developed by Hanwha Ocean for an LCO2 carrier has been awarded an approval in principle (AiP) from DNV at the Gastech 2023 conference in Singapore. The cargo design integrates Hanwha Ocean’s Bi-Lobe cargo hold, a vertical structure that maximises cargo capacity.
