Malaysia offshore CCS project advances, FEED work to begin in 2024
Japan’s Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX), JGC Holdings Corporation (JGC HD,) and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) signed a Key Principles Agreement with Malaysian energy producer Petronas on 28 September 2023 in connection with plans to develop an offshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Malaysia’s waters by 2028.
