World first rotor sails retrofit on a capesize bulk carrier
Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Vale have announced the successful retrofitting of a 200,000-ton class bulk carrier with Norsepower Rotor Sails. The vessel, currently transporting iron ore for Vale, made its maiden voyage with the wind propulsion system after departing Ponta da Madeira, Brazil.
