Columbian shipyard delivers domestic OPV

The $70million ship, first in a two-vessel class, began build in March 2009, and involved some 2,500 direct and indirect employees, with a high level of international participation. It is believed to be the first such ship to be built entirely by Columbia’s own efforts, and the design will be offered to other navies and paramilitary forces.
