Nordic American agrees Vard PSV deal
Vard Holdings has announced that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with Nordic American Offshore for the design and construction of two Platform Supply Vessels with an option for a third.
The vessels are of Vard 1 08 design, developed by Vard Design in Ålesund, Norway. The hulls will be built at Vard Braila in Romania, with completion at Vard Aukra in Norway, with completion scheduled for second and third quarters of 2015. The option will expire end-July 2014.
The Vard 1 08 PSV is of 4,000dwt, on a length oa of 81m and breadth of 18m.
