Evergreen installs ClassNK-NAPA efficiency software
Evergreen Line is to install ClassNK-NAPA Green eco-efficiency software on its chartered container vessels, allowing shore-based teams to monitor, record and analyse real-time data from the charter fleet.
The installation of the software, developed by classification society ClassNK and software subsidiary NAPA, was chosen in a competitive tender process. Juha Heikinheimo, president of NAPA, said that he expected the software’s trim optimisation as well as speed and voyage routing functions to generate fuel efficiencies of around 4-6%.
