Everllence has unveiled its new dual-fuel ME-LGIA (liquid gas injection ammonia) engine — a major step forward in the maritime industry’s journey toward zero-carbon propulsion

Building on the company’s ME-LGIM and ME-LGIP technologies, which run on methanol and LPG respectively, the new engine introduces enhanced safety and digital features specifically designed for ammonia fuel.

The ME-LGIA engine operates on the diesel principle using Everllence’s liquid gas injection concept, but with added safeguards including containment systems, double-walled piping and dedicated ventilation to address ammonia’s unique properties.
