Samskip’s SeaShuttle container vessel programme has become the latest demonstrator in the EU-funded HyShip project, bringing hydrogen-powered short sea shipping a step closer to commercial deployment on one of Europe’s busiest freight corridors

The project will use SeaShuttle’s planned hydrogen-powered container vessels, currently under construction for service between Oslo and Rotterdam, to demonstrate how liquid hydrogen can be integrated into day-to-day shipping operations.
