    Matson, Inc. has announced that its subsidiary, Matson Navigation Company, Inc., a leading US carrier in the Pacific, has signed contracts with Philly Shipyard Inc. to build three new 3,600 TEU Aloha Class containerships for an aggregate price of approximately US$1 billion.

    Matson Navigation and MAN Energy Solutions have signed a contract for the retrofit of the main engine aboard the containership Daniel K. Inouye so that it will be capable of running on LNG and fuel oil.

    Naming ceremony for second Matson Navigation con-ro vessel

    Matson Navigation Company conducted a naming ceremony for the second dual-fuel Kanaloa Class combination container/ro-ro (con-ro) vessel, Matsonia, at the NASSCO shipyard in San Diego on 2 July.

    CON-RO TONNAGE BOOST TO HAWAIIAN TRADE
