Wärtsilä appoints Torsten Buessow to lead Transas business

Wärtsilä has appointed Torsten Buessow as Director of its Transas business. Buessow joins from DNV GL where he held senior management roles in its Maritime Software Business Unit, and subsequently Fleet Performance Management, its Maritime Digital Business Unit. Buessow previously worked as a management consultant at Capgemini, where he worked mainly with logistics and transportation sector clients.
