Japanese LCO2 Carrier Under Construction

Japanese shipbuilder and engineering conglomerate Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Corporation has begun construction of a demonstration liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) carrier.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the 1,450cbm LCO2 carrier was carried out on 7 October 2022 at Mitsubishi Shipbuilding’s Shimonoseki shipyard.
