Knud E Hansen unveils LCO2 carrier concept design
Naval architecture consultancy Knud E Hansen has designed a liquefied CO2 carrier that it claims will be required for the transportation of CO2 from landbased storage facilities to offshore and onshore terminals prior to sequestration. The DP2 design also features an innovative propulsion system incorporating a twin-skeg design with two contra-rotating propellers to improve efficiency.
