CONCENTRIC MAGNETIC GEAR TECHNOLOGIES HOLD PROMISE FOR TORQUE DENSE ELECTRICAL MACHINES

Research into magnetic gears has continued to increase over the last decade as performance and costs issues have increasingly been addressed. Concentric-type magnetic gears still holding the most promise, according to Dr Rong-Jie Wang, professor of electrical engineering at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
