Everllence, the newly rebranded maritime propulsion specialist formerly known as MAN Energy Solutions, has confirmed the appointment of Stefan Eefting as head of Americas, effective from 1 July 2025. Eefting succeeds Mahesh Joshi, who departs following a distinguished career with the company and enters well-deserved retirement.
A native of Bremerhaven, Germany, and educated in marine engineering, Eefting brings more than three decades of experience at Everllence. He has held numerous senior management roles including senior vice‑president and head of PrimeServ Germany. His deep understanding of both technical and commercial dimensions positions him to steer the company’s operations across North and South America.

Dr Uwe Lauber, Everllence’s Chief Executive Officer, emphasised the significance of the Americas market in the company’s global strategy. “The Americas is a dynamic, key market for Everllence,” he stated, highlighting the company’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive suite of propulsion systems and after‑sales services in support of holistic decarbonisation solutions. Dr Lauber expressed confidence that Eefting’s leadership will both build on the legacy of Mahesh Joshi and advance Everllence’s sustainable growth in the region.
The announcement follows the global rebranding of the company from MAN Energy Solutions to Everllence on 4 June 2025—a move reflecting its renewed commitment to decarbonisation and sustainable technologies in maritime, energy and industrial sectors.
With around 15,000 employees across 140 international locations and revenues of €4.3 billion in 2024, Everllence combines legacy engine manufacturing with a strategic focus on climate-neutral propulsion, heat pumps, carbon capture, hydrogen and synthetic fuel technologies.
Under its “Moving big things to zero” strategy, Everllence is accelerating its provision of dual‑fuel engines capable of operating on ammonia, methanol and other sustainable fuels. The Americas market—home to major shipping hubs, industrial centres and emerging decarbonisation mandates—is central to this ambition.
Stefan Eefting steps into his role at a pivotal moment. According to Dr Lauber, Eefting’s “great experience and leadership shown over many years at Everllence” will be instrumental in expanding the company’s presence and supporting its holistic approach to decarbonisation across the Americas.
Eefting’s appointment is expected to foster closer engagement with shipowners, yards and retrofit partners, helping drive the adoption of cutting‑edge propulsion systems and services that align with increasingly stringent environmental regulations in North and South America.
