Jiangnan Shipbuilding receives AiP for LNGC with Type B tank design

Chinese shipbuilder Jiangnan Shipbuilding has announced that it obtained an Approval in Principle (AiP) from classification society ABS for a dual-fuel LNG carrier design on 12 May. The design features the first application of the shipbuilders proprietary Type B BrilliancE containment system, which has previously been used in very large ethane carriers (VLEC).
