MOL and partners conduct autonomous containership trial voyage

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and its partners has successfully concluded the world’s first sea trial of an unmanned containership.

During the automated mooring procedure, an automated airborne drone carried the line to the pier. MOL expects this procedure to become an alternative approach to mooring operations in the future.
