UK Maritime Transport Plan postpones detailed 2050 roadmap

The publication of the UK government’s Maritime Decarbonisation Plan today (12 July) has delayed publication of a detailed roadmap of the country’s decarbonisation roadmap until 2022. The plan has drawn lukewarm reactions from the UK’s shipping sector, many of whom have drawn unfavourable comparisons with the detailed commitments to decarbonising the UK’s transport, energy and aviation sectors contained in the same report.
