Brunvoll to deliver propulsion systems to autonomous ship Yara Birkeland

Brunvoll has signed a contract with the Kongsberg Group to deliver a propulsion system to Yara Birkeland, the worlds first fully electric autonomous container ship. Brunvolls delivery includes two pulling azimuth propellers for propulsion and two tunnel thrusters for manoeuvring, all of which will gain power from an accompanying 6.8 MWh battery pack.
