Stena Line has announced a major milestone in its fleet expansion and sustainability drive with the successful completion of sea trials for the first of its new hybrid ferries destined for service on the Irish Sea

The Stena Futura, which is set to join the Belfast-Heysham route later this summer, underwent a series of trials designed to test all aspects of the vessel’s systems, including engine performance, fuel consumption, navigation, emergency systems and overall manoeuvrability.
