IEA scenarios offer views on shipping’s 2050 fuel mix

The latest edition of the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) annual publication, the World Energy Outlook, outlines a number of scenarios for shipping’s 2050 fuel mix.

The IEA anticipates that the emergence of demand for ammonia and other hydrogen-based energy carriers by 2030 will pay an important role in determining future demand by 2050.
