MAN power and exhaust cleaning for trawlers

Three new wetfish trawlers designed by Nautic for Icelandic fishing company HB Grandi will boast MAN Diesel & Turbo main engines and selective catalytic reduction (SCR), the Danish engine designer reports.

The SCR system comprises a reactor; catalyst elements; soot-blowing system; dosing unit; mixing device; urea-injection lance; control unit; and compressed-air reservoir module.
