Wärtsilä has inked a deal to supply ammonia-fuelled auxiliary engines and propulsion systems for two new midsize LPG and liquid ammonia carrier vessels, supporting the shipping industry’s transition towards lower-emission operations

Under the contract, Wärtsilä will provide its Wärtsilä 25 Ammonia auxiliary engine, together with a selective catalytic reduction system, gas valve unit and a controllable pitch propulsion solution designed to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
