Exmar completes its largest ship-to-ship transfer of ammonia to date

Belgian shipping company Exmar has completed its largest ship-to-ship transfer of ammonia to date, according to the company’s Linkedin account.

Exmar said the operation was carried out by the Exmar Ship Management crew using Kortrijk, a 38,500 cu m midsize gas carrier, which safely discharged a full cargo of ammonia in collaboration with Trammo at the port of Sohar in Oman. The company described the transfer as a significant operational milestone, highlighting the role of crew training and strict adherence to safety and operational procedures.
