The Port of Hamburg has finally got its environmentally friendly alternative for supplying power to cruise ships at berth – Becker Marine System’s floating LNG hybrid barge.

MAN Diesel & Turbo has reported a contract for four MAN B&W 5G70ME-GI engines to power two LNG carriers, ordered by Norway’s BW Group from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

French company GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz) reports that it has received an order for gas containment systems for two LNG carriers to be built at DSME in South Korea.
