Marine insurers issue EV fire guidance

Research by the International Union of Marine Insurance finds that EV fires are no more frequent than those in ICE vehicles

The International Union of Marine Insurance is seeking to reassure shippers that electric vehicles can be safely transported.

The advice comes in response to growing concerns within the shipping industry about fires breaking out on carriers and RoRos that are believed to start on EVs.
