Spurred by growing demand for interconnector and offshore windfarm cable systems, Milan-headquartered Prysmian Group has ordered two high capacity cable laying ships. This further stage of fleet development represents a capital expenditure of approximately EUR350m ($383m), and entails distinct classes of vessel.
