Exoskeleton membrane fuel tank to ease LNG retrofits

A membrane gas tank with exoskeleton to ease LNG retrofits for container ships, has received a general approval for ship application from DNV GL

LNG containment specialist GTT and ship design consultancy Technolog have developed an exoskeleton membrane fuel gas tank that can be retrofitted to 14,000-18,000 teu container vessels when they are being converted for LNG engines.
