Design changes would reduce enclosed spaces risks

The design group's proposals drew on hierarchy of hazard control concepts to identify a number of generic changes to the design of ships and equipment that can be made to improve safety.

In 2018, InterManager launched a survey on enclosed space deaths. Now, as a driving force behind the action being taken on those deaths, the organisation is calling for changes to vessel design, procedures and regulations.
