New German Catamaran Ferry Powered By MAN 175D Engines

The newbuilding features two highly-efficient MAN 16V175D-MM engines with a power output of 2 × 2,960 kW.

A new high-speed catamaran ferry, Nordlicht II, is due to enter service for German ferry company, AG EMS, in July. Powered by two MAN 16V175D-MM engines, the ferry will be capable of a service speed of 35 knots.
