WinGD books engine orders for 25 LNGC newbuildings

There are 224 X72DF engines in service and more than 130 engines on order, Volkmar Galke, Director, Global Sales, WinGD noted.

WinGD has received 25 orders for its dual-fuel X72DF-2.1 engine featuring its new on-engine iCER , the company announced. The orders for 50 engines have been placed by multiple shipyards and shipowners in connection with QatarEnergy’s North Field East (NFE) project, the biggest LNG carrier newbuilding project in history.
