Onboard carbon capture moves a step closer

Onboard carbon capture has moved a step closer with the news that engineering company, Sener, has designed two new CCS-equipped vessels for Grona Shipping

Capable of operating in freezing waters, the two general cargo vessels have a gross tonnage of 6,000 and 9,100 respectively.

Each is powered with LNG and incorporates CO2 capture systems located on top of the LNG tanks or placed between the two cargo holds.
