Wärtsilä hails LNG carrier progress

The company claims its relaunched 34DF has a 70% share of the newbuild LNG carrier auxiliary engine market

Wärtsilä says its more powerful 34DF engine, relaunched with a higher maximum continuous rating in 2013, is becoming the auxiliary engine of choice among South Korean shipyards building LNG carriers.
