The Motorship Award

What is The Motorship Award?

The Motorship Award is designed to honour innovative low emissions vessels partnerships.

To acknowledge the importance of collaboration in solving industry-wide challenges, the award is open to partnership projects featuring at least two of the following:

  • Class society
  • Naval architect
  • Equipment/fuel supplier
  • Academic institution

The four shortlisted entrants will present their projects at The Motorship’s 47th Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference 2026, where the overall winner will be decided by a delegate vote.

The shortlist will be drawn up through a combination of self-nominations and recommendations made by the event steering committee, which includes representatives from major shipowners, technology providers, class societies and shipowner organisations.
