Australia and Japan Agree Clean Hydrogen Trade Partnership

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a A$150 million Australian Clean Hydrogen Trade Program (ACHTP) to export green hydrogen to Japan on 6 January 2022.

Australia’s newly-announced A$150 million (US$108mn) Australian Clean Hydrogen Trade Program (ACHTP) will focus on the export of clean hydrogen to Japan under the Japan-Australia Partnership on Decarbonisation through Technology.
