Conf 2013

The 36th Motorship Propulsion & Emissions Conference, organised by Mercator Media, will take place in Hamburg, Germany from 21 to 22 May 2014.

Companies, organisations and indiciduals are now invited to put forward papers for the conference in the following categories and case and “real life” studies will be given precedence.

Categories include: High fuel costs; Overcapacity of tonnage; Complex and complicated imminent legislation, including SEEMP, EEDI and Tier III regulations; Monitoring, Reporting & Verification; Port State Enforcement; Finance for the industry; Holistic solutions to today’s challenges and Alternative fuels.

The world’s future fleet will look very different to today’s, with looming regulatory deadlines for shipowners and operators that will have major impacts on the ships that we build. The 36th Propulsion & Emissions Conference will address how ship energy efficiency is working now and will focus on how ship operators can navigate the current market to improve the efficiency of their ships.

With topics including innovative ship hardware and design, the use of available alternative fuels, ship conversion and eco ships, the conference will address the challenges that shipowners face today, when drawing a parallel between compliance, cost and reality.

If you would like to send in a paper to be considered for the conference, please send a 200 word abstract plus a biography of the speaker to conferences@propulsionconference.com by 10 December 2013 at the latest.

For full details on any aspect of the conference, please email: conferences@propulsionconference.com or call +44 (0)1329 825335.
