There is just one week to go until the 34th Motorship Propulsion and Emissions Conference which will take place on 23 and 24 May 2012 in Hamburg.

The conference will bring industry professionals together to network, discuss topical issues and exchange information and ideas. The annual Motorship Propulsion and Emissions Conference is now recognised as the most technically informative and longest established seminar for the global shipping industry.

Entitled Are you ready for 2015?, the 2012 conference will provide ship operators with solutions and answers to ensure fleets comply with the 0.1% sulphur limits coming into force in ECAs from 2015.

The conference will open with a welcome address from Mr Achim Wehrmann, director of shipping at Federal Ministry of Transport Germany. This will be followed by keynote speeches from Maximilian Strotmann, cabinet of vice president Siim Kallas, European Commission, and Andreas Chrysostomou, Chairman MEPC, IMO.

There will also be technical presentations covering ECA preparations and impact from an operator's perspective (from Ernst Russ, Ardmore Shipping and DFDS), technology and fuel solutions, exhaust gas cleaning, lubricants, other power solutions and compliance, management and enforcement.

The conference will take place at the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski. More details on the hotel can be found at:
