New European director for coatings company
Jan Slooter, new director of APC’s European business
Jan Slooter has joined US company Advanced Polymer Coatings as director, business development, Europe. He will be responsible for sales in this region to customers using MarineLine-coated tankers.
Advanced Polymer Coatings (APC) provides the MarineLine coating system, for the chemical and product tanker market, which is said to offer exceptional chemical resistance to many chemicals, the ability to maintain high purity cargoes, and easy tank cleaning.
Slooter brings many years of experience working with chemical tankers. As general manager with the Clearwater Group, Slooter oversaw its fleet, of which many of the vessels were coated with MarineLine and carried a variety of chemicals. Prior to joining Clearwater, Slooter worked with the Breko shipyard in the Netherlands. Previous positions also included working at Cummins Engine Company where he was Service Manager.
