Ulstein Verft appoints sales manager

Håvard Stave has been appointed the new sales manager at Ulstein Verft. For the past five years he was design manager at Ulstein Design, which became part of Ulstein Design & Solutions at the start of 2010.
Ulstein Verft’s managing director Karsten Sævik welcomed the new appointment: ”We had several well-qualified candidates, both in-house and external. We are very happy to have found the best candidate in-house for the new position at this level. Stave has a solid background and extensive experience, to our great benefit.”

I am also eager to learn more – together with a good team – in meeting those challenges,” says Stave, adding: “Ulstein Verft is facing exciting times ahead, but the expertise we have here and around us in the region is unique. I know the yard from my work in the design department and look forward to working even closer with the team. Our ambition is to develop even more good ship solutions for perhaps the world’s best offshore shipowners, and deliver them at the agreed time and price – which is Ulstein Verft’s stock in trade,” says Stave in closing.
Before joining Ulstein Design, Stave worked nine years at Rolls-Royce Marine’s Propulsion department at Ulsteinvik, the last years of which as technical manager. Before that, he worked in Kongsberg Group.
Ulstein Design & Solution’s managing director Tore Ulstein is happy that the yard now has in place a person with long experience and good expertise. “This is a fine example our maintaining flow of expertise among our companies in the Ulstein Group. This is very gratifying and provides many possibilities for both our employees and our companies."
