Despite the speculation Plan B Energy Storage (PBES) says it is still open for business, but it will be undergoing a restructure to fulfil its 2018 deliveries.

The restructure of PBES Norway is intended to provide PBES customers and supply partners with increased confidence regarding production and delivery, with the company continuing to manufacture its products in Norway using a local contract manufacturer.

“While the last six months have been extremely difficult for the company, our customers, and the people who work here, PBES is determined to persevere and provide the highest level in product and service to its customers,” the company said in a statement.

The company said it will now “free up resources” to focus on providing customers with exceptionally designed and installed energy storage systems and the highest quality service. It said its commitment to quality and service will remain unchanged as it is the cornerstone of the company’s success.

PBES is known for providing high quality, high performance energy storage used in heavy industrial and commercial marine applications.

In 2018 to date, PBES has secured more than 18MWH of energy storage contracts on ten ships and five land based projects.

The company said that since the announcement of the restructure programme, PBES has secured more than 2MWh of energy storage contracts on two ships and one land based project.

PBES designs and manufactures high power lithium-ion energy storage focused on industrial, marine and grid energy storage applications.
