WinGD inks NH3-fuelled vessel applications MoU with SHI

WinGD and South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) have signed an agreement to cooperate on on future fuel vessel applications with ammonia-fuelled engines.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) indicates a strong intention on the part of SHI to install WinGD’s X-DF-A dual-fuel ammonia engines on forthcoming newbuild vessels. The agreement was signed during the Gastech conference in Singapore this week.
