eCap Marine signs hydrogen contract with Samskip

Hamburg-based eCap Marine, a specialist in emission-free propulsion systems, has inked two landmark deals to supply hydrogen-based power solutions for zero-emission vessels

eCap Marine will deliver hydrogen propulsion systems for two 85m bulk carriers ordered by Møre Sjø and two short-sea container vessels under construction for Samskip.

The Samskip SeaShuttles, being built at Cochin Shipyard in India, will be the world’s first hydrogen-powered short-sea container vessels.
