Everllence demonstrates ethanol engine viability

Everllence says it has successfully run its 21/31 dual-fuel engine on ethanol at all load points, marking a new step in the company’s push toward fuel-flexible marine power

The tests were carried out at the firm’s facilities in Frederikshavn, Denmark, and build on a decade of work with alternative fuels that began with methanol.

Everllence first moved into methanol propulsion more than ten years ago, with the world’s first commercial two-stroke methanol engine entering service in 2016.
