UK funds MOL ammonia engine project

A JDP will study using ammonia as a marine fuel in Singapore

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines’ Future Low-emission Ammonia Marine Engine Project, led by Carnot and supported by MOL (Europe Africa), has been selected for the UK’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round 6

This initiative is part of the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE), which seeks to position the UK as a global leader in clean maritime technology.

The project aims to deliver a retrofit ammonia auxiliary engine solution that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs for shipping companies.
