Avin International Suezmax tanker set to be first ammonia-ready vessel

A Suezmax tanker under construction for Avin International Ltd. at New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (pictured) in China is expected to be the world's first ammonia-fuel ready vessel.

Greek shipowner Avin International LTD has ordered a Suezmax tanker from New Times Shipbuilding Co. in Jiangsu, China, and the tanker is set to become the first ammonia-fuel ready vessel in the world.
